BLACKPINK nominated for 4 award categories at the MTV Video Music Awards
BLACKPINK has reportedly been nominated in four award categories for this year’s 2023 “MTV Video Music Awards.”
On August 8, the “MTV Video Music Awards” (MTV VMAs) announced this year’s award categories and nominees via their official website and social media.
Among the nominees are BLACKPINK for “Best K-Pop”; “Best Choreography”, It will see it nominated for four award categories, including “Best Art Direction” and Best Editing for the “Pink Venom” MV.
The “MTV VMAs” is considered one of the four major American pop music awards, along with the “Grammy Awards,” “Billboard Music Awards,” and the “American Music Awards.”
It started in 1984 and boasts a history of more than 40 years, with awards presented annually in approximately 24 categories.
This year’s event will be held on September 12 at the Prudential Center in New Jersey.
BLACKPINK is also the most successful K-Pop group to debut at the MTB VMAs and since 2020, BLACKPINK received their first awards for “How You Like That” and the “Song Of Summer” trophy.
Last year, the girl group won “Best Metaverse Performance” and member Lisa won “Best K-Pop” for her single “LALISA”.
