NewJeans criticized for too short song length of their new EP

Most K-netizens were worried about the length of the new songs from NewJeans’ comeback.

The songs on NewJeans’ new EP have been criticized for being too short compared to other popular songs that are typically 3 to 4 minutes long.

On July 21, NewJeans released their much-anticipated second mini-album ‘Get Up’, which contains a total of 6 tracks, including “New Jeans”, “Super Shy”, “ETA”, “Cool With You”, “Get Up” and “ASAP”.

The title track “Super Shy” was the longest track on the EP, clocking in at 2 minutes and 35 seconds, and the total length of the six tracks was only about 12 minutes, which many criticized as insufficient.
